The Metalworking and CNC Machine Tool Show (MWCS) is one of the most important sales fair for sheet metal processing and was held in November this year in Shanghai (China). It was a meeting place where professionals from the sector presented their latest technologies and products for the industry.

As usual every year, Lantek took part in the fair, receiving more visitors than in previous years, in the belief that it is the best option for getting to know its Chinese customers and establishing new contacts with new manufacturers at the fair, as well as accompanying existing ones by being in the same hall where most of the laser and punching machinery manufacturers were concentrated.

Although the trend has been downward in the Chinese machine tool market in the last quarter, the participation of both visitors and exhibitors was a success with more than 220,000 visitors and 500 exhibitors in the machine tool sector from 15 different countries.

Thanks to this, new sales opportunities have arisen, which could come to fruition in the coming months.

Lantek took the opportunity to show customers the importance of efficient production management with its Lantek Manager and Lantek Wos solutions, as well as the possibility of managing all their machines with its CAD/CAM solution, both for design, nesting as well as subsequent generation of CNCs.

It is also worth highlighting the presentation at the fair of the new 5-axis water jet cutting machine managed by Lantek for both 2D and 3D cutting, a machine built by Dardi Waterjet and equipped with an Italian ESA numerical control.

Customers were therefore able to take away as souvenirs the different pieces cut with the machine, as a result of the innovation and efficiency resulting from the partnership between Lantek and Dardi, a Chinese manufacturer specialising in high pressure water jet cutting machines.
