EMO HANNOVER 2025: THE WORLD·S LEADING EVENT FOR THE ADVANCED MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY

04 June, 2025
The press conference to present EMO Hannover 2025 was held today as part of the +INDUSTRY trade fair, currently taking place at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre (BEC). During the event, the main themes and key innovations that will define the next edition of this leading international trade fair for the metalworking industry were unveiled.

The presentation featured the participation of Dr. Markus Heering, Managing Director of VDW; Xabier Alzaga, CEO of Danobat; Xabier Ortueta, Managing Director of AFM Cluster; and Michael Rose, Protocol Director at DMAG.

From 22 to 26 September 2025, the city of Hannover will host the world's largest trade fair dedicated to advanced manufacturing technologies. With a strong focus on machine tools for metal cutting and forming, production systems, precision tools, automation, and, of course, industrial digitalisation, EMO Hannover has firmly established itself as the global benchmark event in the sector.

In its 2023 edition, EMO Hannover brought together 1,838 exhibitors from 45 countries and attracted around 92,159 professional visitors from 136 nations. Attendees represented all major industrial sectors, including machinery manufacturing, the automotive industry and its suppliers, aerospace, precision mechanics and optics, shipbuilding, medical technology, tool making, steel, and lightweight construction.

Today also marked the opening of the WORKINN industrial employment fair, in a ceremony presided over by Alfonso Gurpegui, Deputy Minister for Employment and Inclusion, and Teresa Laespada, Provincial Councillor for Employment, Social Cohesion, and Equality at the Provincial Council of Bizkaia.

Over the three days of +INDUSTRY, several specialised technical sessions are taking place, including Additive Talks, Digital Talks, and Maintenance Talks. In addition, AFM Cluster is hosting B2B meetings, facilitating more than 100 bilateral encounters between companies from the advanced and digital manufacturing sector.
