ARANTXA TAPIA ANNOUNCES THAT THE SPRI GROUP IS INCREASING THE BUDGET FOR THE RENOVE PROGRAM TO 8 MILLION EUROS FOR THE RENEWAL OF MACHINERY AND EQUIPMENT FOR INDUSTRY 4.0

09 October, 2023

The program RENOVE INDUSTRIA 4.0, initially budgeted at 5 million euros, has been expanded to 8 million euros, as announced by the councilor, Arantxa Tapia. This program aims to encourage investments in new machinery and advanced equipment, both hardware and software, to modernize industrial environments for Industry 4.0 projects within the Advanced Manufacturing sector.

The application period for the program began in July and is open until November 8.

RENOVE INDUSTRIA 4.0 provides economic support for the acquisition of hardware and software, project consultancy for Industry 4.0 projects, covering up to 25% of expenses with a maximum of 100,000€ per project, and access to higher value-added industrial markets.

The program supports the acquisition of advanced machinery (software and hardware) for the implementation of Industry 4.0 projects related to various areas:

  • Big Data and Advanced Analytics for Business Intelligence and Data Mining.
  • Additive Manufacturing projects for flexible production with various materials.
  • Advanced and Collaborative Robotics projects for real-time collaboration with workers, improving processes and productivity.
  • Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) projects for sensorization and internet connectivity of devices and machinery.
  • Artificial Intelligence projects for machines and equipment capable of autonomous learning and decision-making.
  • The incorporation of Machine Learning or Deep Learning techniques in industrial settings.
  • Cyber-Physical Systems projects with advanced computing and connectivity components.
  • Virtual and Augmented Reality projects for simulating real situations with added graphical information.
  • Digital Twins projects to create virtual replicas for monitoring and analysis.

This program is aimed at industrial SMEs in the Euskadi region that want to implement advanced machinery and equipment to address the challenges of Industry 4.0. Some key criteria include:

  • Having an operational center in Euskadi where the advanced machinery and equipment (hardware and software) will be installed.
  • Projects with a budget exceeding 50,000€, where consulting services should not exceed 25% of the budget.
  • Expenses are validated through orders or contracts and payment of at least 10% of the machinery and equipment's cost.
  • Acquired elements (hardware and software) must be delivered and operational from January 1, 2023, within 12 months of the application.
