The industrial group Danobatgroup has reached an agreement with the professional service multinational Accenture to promote its digital transformation, an integral process with which the machine tool manufacturer seeks to reinforce its position at the forefront of innovation and maintain its range of products and services of high added value.

The agreement between both entities, initiated at the end of 2018, has allowed the Basque group to undertake a process that encompasses the development of new lines of business based on intelligent products and services and the digitalization of its organizational model, since an order arrives until it leaves.

This project also includes the strategic management of talent and financial resources, the creation of a value office with the capacity to monitor the progress made and the construction of a new digital architecture to face the challenges of the industry of the future.

"The project undertaken with Accenture was born after an internal reflection in which we clearly visualized that digitalization is much more than the introduction of advanced technologies in products and services. It is a new paradigm that changes the way we work and generates a new business culture, in which the decision-making processes are more efficient,” says Danobatgroup Innovation Director Nerea Aranguren.

The group will make a total investment of more than 2 million Euros in this transformation process from the start of the project until the end of this strategic cycle in 2020. It is expected that the investment directed to this field will continue through the next strategic plan.

The agreement has given its first results, since the roadmap for the generation of new services and smart products and the roadmap to develop the field of operational excellence have been completed, in addition to having started with the map of information systems for the new digital architecture.

The digital transformation process will have a positive impact on the group's operating account due to an increase in revenues derived from the development of new products and services, but also in the reduction of costs thanks to a more efficient operational and organizational structure. But it also results in the reinforcement of the positioning of Danobatgroup as an entity of reference in innovation.

Specifically, this process will have advantages for Danobatgroup customers who can count on state-of-the-art, smarter, interconnected and autonomous machines in their production plants.
