AYMA TOOLS PRESENTS THE NEW T-A PRO DRILL BIT FOR DRILLING AND CHAMFERING AT EMO HANNOVER 2025

05 September, 2025
Eliminating secondary operations is one of the main objectives in modern machining processes. In this context, Allied Machine presents the new T-A PRO drill bodies for drilling and chamfering, a solution designed to optimise work, reduce cycle times and improve the final quality of the part.

The new T-A PRO drill bit allows drilling and chamfering to be carried out in a single step, avoiding additional processes such as deburring, countersinking or chamfering. This not only increases productivity, but also helps to reduce costs and finishing errors.

The tool offers a wide range of diameters, from 9.50 mm to 47.80 mm, with an optimised chamfer of 1.0 mm x 45° minimum, adaptable to different thread specifications. In addition, it breaks the upper edge of the hole, reducing the need for deburring, and thanks to a minimum lip length of 2xD, it guarantees adequate pilot holes even for extended body drill bits up to 15xD.
The system has been designed to make tool selection as easy as possible. The operator can quickly and intuitively choose the thread size from the reference guide, define the ISO geometry of the insert based on the material to be machined, select the appropriate clamping and specify the chamfer size, easily calculating the pitch length and Z depth. This simplified process significantly reduces set-up times and ensures accurate machining from the outset.

The new T-A PRO drill bodies also incorporate all the advantages of this renowned family of tools. They feature specific geometries for different materials, an optimised design that improves chip evacuation, a patented cooling system that ensures superior performance even in low-flow applications of 200 psi, and achieve higher drilling speeds than other high-performance drills available on the
