PINZBOHR INTRODUCES THE NEW MACROBOHR LIGHTWEIGHT TOOL LINE

PINZBOHR introduces the new MACROBOHR lightweight tool line that allows boring large diameters ranging from 220 mm up to 1020 mm. This modular system is based on high strength aluminium plates of different sizes that are interchangeable with the same arbor, boring head and counterweight, thereby being a modular system and reducing the weight of the tool in large diameter applications.

The boring heads are secured to the aluminium plates by axial contact tapered screws in order to provide high rigidity to perform a stable boring and avoid vibrations.

The finish boring head features a high precision adjustment through a graduated dial with a read out precision of 0.002 mm in diameter and it is also offered a rough boring head and different cartridges for reverse boring and outside diameter turning applications. Furthermore, various standard insert geometries are available for any of the applications, becoming MACROBOHR in a versatile, lightweight and definitive system in the field of large diameter boring.
