SAN SEBASTIAN TOHOST THE MANUFACTURING CONGRESS

The 24th edition of the Manufacturing Congress will take place from 29 to 31 October 2025 at the Gipuzkoa Science and Technology Park in San Sebastian.

The country's first ever technology congress, first held in 1976, has become a benchmark event in the area of advanced and digital manufacturing. In addition to the state-of-the-art technical and scientific perspective that has characterised the congress from the start, it has taken on a global vision, tackling matters such as disruptive advanced manufacturing technologies, the factory of the future, robotics and automation, additive manufacturing, the safety of persons and machines in smart industry, the challenges of the main industrial sectors or sustainability.

As a new addition this year, alongside the advanced and digital manufacturing congress, a cybersecurity congress will also be held, featuring all the latest in this field. During 24CMH, attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy product exhibitions and service promotions relating to advanced manufacturing and machine tools. There will also be round tables, debates and B2B gatherings to promote networking and creating new collaboration opportunities among the participants.

This year we will be joined by leading companies, such asTelefónica, Nicolás Correa, Siemens,Euchner, Renishaw,Aernnova, Loire Gestamp,Schmersal, ASTM International, Fagor Automation,Tecnalia,Danobatgroup, Airbus, Satlantis, SAPA, Indra, ITP and Fastems, among others. The event will also welcome expert speakers from the main areas of innovation in disruptive technologies, digitalisation and artificial intelligence.

The opening session on the 29th will feature speaker and digital transformation consultant Marc Vidal, who will give a presentation on the challenges that the industry and its people will face in the near future.

Among other speakers, the conference features leading figures such as Genís Roca, specialist in business development and digital culture; Raül Blanco, executive director of Strategy at SAPA; Nerea Urcola, partner, consultant, trainer and coach at Urcola Formación y Consultoría; and Jon Sistiaga, investigative journalist and war correspondent.

The closing ceremony, to be held on 31 October, will include the awards presentation: one prize for the best project presented by a company; another for the best communication presented by a technical-scientific community; a third for the best technical college thesis; and a fourth for the best presentation made in Basque.

The congress is supported by the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa, the Department of Economic Development, Sustainability and Environment of the Basque Country and the SPRI Group.

The last edition, held in October 2023, brought together more than 500 attendees and over 100 presentations were made.Regarding participating companies, some leading brands from previous editions were Microsoft, Telefónica,Cipherbit, Siemens,IBM, Renishaw, Aernnova, Gestamp, Petronor, Renfe, Fagor Automation, Tecnalia, Danobatgroup and Airbus, and key speakers includedIñaki Gabilondo, Pedro Miguel Etxenike, Enrique Dans, Juan Antonio Zufiría and Agustín Sáenz.
