25 February, 2026BIEMH 2026, the International Machine Tool Biennial, will kick off the international trade fair calendar for advanced manufacturing at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre from 2 to 6 March. The event will bring together 1,503 exhibiting companies from 34 countries and showcase more than 3,350 innovative products, consolidating its position as one of the world's leading events in the sector. With 33 editions and more than six decades of experience, BIEMH reaffirms itself as a benchmark platform for professionals seeking cutting-edge technology, comprehensive solutions and new opportunities for collaboration and business.
The fair will occupy the six pavilions of the venue and will offer a sector-specific representation covering machining, tools, welding, metrology, components, deformation, cutting and surface treatment. Automation, robotics and digitalisation will have a prominent place, reflecting the evolution towards more efficient and interconnected production models.
Under the slogan ‘CARPE BIEMH’, the event will combine a trade exhibition, Innovation Workshops, Innovation Awards and extensive networking activities. The official opening will take place on Monday 2 March at 12 noon and will be presided over by Lehendakari Imanol Pradales.
BIEMH 2026 is organised by AFM, Machine Tool Manufacturers; AIMHE, Machine Tools Importers and Bilbao Exhibition Centre, with the Provincial Council of Bizkaia and SPRI – Basque Government as institutional partners.
