17 November, 2025OMRON Industrial Automation held a new stop of its European tour in Vitoria-Gasteiz, continuing a programme launched in 2024 that is constantly updated with fresh demonstrations. The initiative aims to give manufacturers first-hand access to OMRON’s latest automation technologies, designed to enhance efficiency, precision and quality across production processes.
One of the event’s highlights was the Sysmac integrated automation platform, which unifies control, motion, safety and vision within a single optimised architecture. This solution simplifies the design of modular machines and enables greater customisation with shorter development times. The company also showcased its intelligent IO-Link sensors, capable of performing automatic adjustments, collecting real-time data and enabling predictive maintenance without stopping production.
Attendees also saw an advanced motion control demo with integrated safety, showing how OMRON’s servo drives support smarter, more connected transport systems. In addition, OMRON presented cutting-edge vision technologies, including AI-powered inspection for precise defect detection, digital marking to avoid labelling errors at high speeds, and line-scan cameras for efficient inspection of large items.
Another well-received demonstration was Automation Playback, a tool that allows manufacturers to record, review and quickly resolve unexpected production incidents. According to Felipe Pang, Country Manager for Iberia, this new stage of the tour reinforces the company’s commitment to supporting customers with solutions that address real manufacturing challenges. The European tour will continue in the coming months, with upcoming stops planned in Italy, the Nordics, the United Kingdom, Hungary and the Czech Republic.
