An event will take place on the 1st of June in the conference hall of BEC pavilion 3. This event will be held within the BIEMH 2016 and will be dedicated to the presentation of the advanced aeronautics manufacturing centre (CFAA). The event will be divided into two sessions, the first of them will be delivered by Norberto Lopez de Lacalle, Director of the CFAA of the University of the Basque Country, entitled, “The CFAA, collaboration to have an impact on processes and machines”.  During his talk, he will explain the characteristics of this innovative centre model that combines the interests of companies with those of the actual University of the Basque country, in order to advance in the construction of an efficient innovation system oriented towards society’s real needs.

On the other hand, Alfredo Lopez Diaz, Director of Advanced Engineering of ITP, Koldo Aranda, General Manager of Ibarmia, Borja Emparan, Director of WEC, all three members of the CFAA, will give a second presentation entitled, “The industrial vision: collaborating to arrive first and go further”. This will be a round table, and the debate will evolve around companies’ interests in the project, the objectives of leading companies and those of machine suppliers, and component manufacturers, in a project that is open to the entry of new member.

Members of the CFAA include the University of the Basque Country, the Department of Economic Development and Competitiveness of the Basque Government, the SPRI, the Regional Council of Vizcaya, the Technology Park of Vizcaya and the Business Group for Advanced Aeronautics Manufacturing.
