On July 10, the MANU-KET Technology Platform, in which AFM participates, held its Annual Assembly, which was held within the framework of a larger event called "The Future of Digital Skills in Companies".

During the assembly, which took place at the headquarters of Bilbao Berrikuntza Faktoria (BBF), the activities carried out during the last year and the actions planned for 2019 were presented, as well as the strategic framework of the Spanish Technological Platform (STP) MANU-KET.

Next, Interplataformas Group on Digitalization led the event, in which the role of Digital Skills in companies was analyzed. Taking into account the digital transformation that manufacturing companies are undergoing, these digital capabilities will be critical to develop and optimize processes through the effective use of ICTs. This way, it will be possible to respond to current and future challenges that guarantee the competitiveness of The Spanish industry.

The set of talks and round tables included the participation of relevant entities in the fields of manufacturing and training in Spain, such as the PLTEECMA, PLANETIC, PESI and M2F PTEs, in addition to AFM and the universities Mondragon Unibertsitatea, the Polytechnic University of Valencia or the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. Likewise, Bizkaia Talent (initiative of the Provincial Council of Bizkaia) offered its strategic vision in the medium term and Mondragon People contributed the vision of the Mondragon Corporation.

The day closed with a session focused on analyzing how the Digital Europe program will promote and finance the development of Digital Skills in European companies.
