The Royal Academy of Engineering of Spain is an institution "at the forefront of technical knowledge, which promotes the excellence, quality and competence of Spanish engineering in its various disciplines and fields of action". It is based in Madrid, in the building of the palace of the Marqués de Villafranca. Once a month the 60 academics are summoned to meet in plenary session, to analyze, debate and organize all issues related to the Royal Academy of Engineering, which are none other than promoting values, high quality, and always recording the need for engineering in our country.

The academics are 60 outstanding professionals from the different disciplines of Engineering and Architecture, coming from the academic and business fields, who carry out their mission of promoting the quality and competence of Spanish Engineering.

To support its activities, the Academy relies on the Pro Rebus Academiae Foundation, which includes leading universities, professional organizations and companies in the country. The Royal Academy is a member of Euro-CASE, the European Council of Academies of Applied Sciences, Technologies and Engineering, which brings together national Academies of applied sciences, technology and engineering belonging to 21 European countries. It is also a member of the Institute of Spain and Royal Academies, where it is explained that "The Royal Academies are centuries-old institutions that constitute the highest exponent of knowledge and participate, in a particular way, in the promotion of scientific dissemination and culture" . Currently there are ten National Royal Academies included in the Institute of Spain.

With our partner, the machine tool sector and the even broader of its users in key sectors such as aeronautics, new energies, automotive, etc. it will have a qualified voice that will make it possible to publicize the values that our companies represent, and the people who work there every day to generate socioeconomic value.
