Last modified 13-07-2010
The Board of the AFM held a meeting on 2nd July last at Industrias Puigjaner. The Spanish Association of Machine Tool Manufacturers (AFM) wanted in this way to participate in the events celebrating the anniversary of the company with the oldest manufacturing licence in Spain.
Since it was set up in 1885, INDUSTRIAS PUIGJANER S.A. has been engaged in building machines and special tools for metal forming. Over the 125 years, five generations have followed in the footsteps of Joan Puigjaner and made the company a benchmark worldwide in the manufacture of machinery for metal forming using rotation processes.
The commitment to participation of those behind Industrias Puigjaner, has led them to cooperate in the creation and operation of important bodies in the sector, bodies that they continue to collaborate with, like ours: the AFM and INVEMA, the Metallurgy Sector’s Mutual Insurance Company or the Sabadell Metallurgy Centre.
The firm is currently based in Polinyá, a town located in the Catalan area of Vallés Occidental and markets products all over the world, under the DENN registered trademark.
90% of its production is exported to countries like Italy, France, United Kingdom, Germany, Portugal, Holland, the Scandinavian countries, Canada, USA, Mexico, China, Brazil, etc., in total to more than 25 countries all over the world.
