Building the Virtual Learning Workshops Alliance: competitiveness and growth of the digitalisation of European industry for all.

Technologies such as virtual reality, augmented reality, digital twins and artificial intelligence are being incorporated into training processes in vocational schools (vocational training, universities, polytechnics). But their use is not being systematically and widely incorporated into learning processes, but rather used in isolation or at demonstration level. The pace of technological evolution is extremely fast. Without immediate work on systemic integration into educational processes, the response of professionalising higher education institutions will be too reactive and ineffective.

In order to achieve a strong transfer of 5.0 technologies to SMEs, the vocational education system must design and implement teaching-learning processes based on the use of these technologies. And students must acquire the necessary skills (ecological and digital) to help companies to use them naturally in production processes.

The aim of VLF4EU is to develop an alliance between European e-learning sites in the manufacturing sector. This alliance will contribute in the long term to the modernisation of vocational higher education systems and small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises. And also to the commitment to applied research and experimental development, which will have an active impact far beyond the project.
