LANTEK AND TECOI ADVANCE FULLY AUTOMATED SHEET METAL CUTTING AND PALLETIZING

Lantek and TECOI have strengthened their technological partnership through the joint development of an automated unloading and robotic palletizing system that operates in parallel with the cutting process. The solution is part of SORTEC, a project aimed at achieving full production-line automation, from raw sheet metal to the final pallet.

The system combines TECOI’s modular cutting architecture with Lantek’s software intelligence. After cutting, a servo-automated crane transfers the processed sheets to an intermediate area, where multiple robots automatically sort and palletize the parts according to criteria defined by the companies’ CAD/CAM systems.

The process is managed through Lantek Expert, which organizes parts based on their geometry and orientation to ensure stability, traceability and logistical efficiency.

One of the key advantages is that palletizing takes place while the cutting machine continues operating, eliminating downtime and increasing productivity. The modular and scalable solution can be adapted to different production volumes, supporting the transition towards fully automated and highly efficient manufacturing environments.
