HEPYC INTRODUCES ITS ANTI-VIBRATION COUNTERSINKS

HEPYC Cutting Tool Expert, a cutting tool manufacturer, is highlighting its range of anti-vibration countersinks, designed to improve machining stability and reduce noise, tool wear and surface finish irregularities.

The specific tip geometry controls vibration at its source, preventing the repeated impacts against the workpiece that occur with conventional countersinks. As a result, the cutting edge retains its geometry for longer and delivers consistent finishes even during intensive machining operations.

The range is available in three versions. Reference 5159, manufactured from solid carbide with a TiAlN coating, is suitable for machining materials up to 60 HRC. References 5162 and 5163 are manufactured from HSS-Co, with the latter featuring a TiN coating to increase wear resistance.

All three solutions are suitable for steels, stainless steels, cast irons, non-ferrous metals, plastics, titanium and superalloys.
