CMI DURANGO BOOSTS GROWTH IN THE AEROSPACE SECTOR

CMI Durango, a machine-tool manufacturer specializing in custom-built lathes and retrofit projects, is advancing its strategic plan with the goal of doubling its turnover over the next three years. The company is strengthening its diversification into high-value-added sectors such as aerospace, energy, naval and capital goods, while expanding its international presence.

The company expects to surpass its total 2025 revenue within the first months of 2026 and already has a solid workload secured for the current year. To support this growth, CMI Durango plans to reinforce its engineering office as well as its electronics and automation departments with new hires.

Among its most notable projects is the development of a high-precision vertical lathe equipped with an automatic palletizing system for aerospace components, a solution designed to increase machining efficiency and productivity.

CMI Durango is also expanding its retrofit business, offering a competitive and sustainable alternative to new equipment investments, while pursuing new opportunities in markets such as France, Portugal, Mexico, Turkey and Poland.
