LANTEK BECOMES A GLOBAL STRATEGIC PARTNER OF AIR LIQUIDE WELDING

27 July, 2015

Lantek’s global agreement with Air Liquide Welding will lead to the marketing of the Lantek Expert sheet metal CAD/CAM software, together with Air Liquide Welding’s oxy-cutting and plasma cutting machines.

Leader in the development and marketing of CAD/CAM/MES/ERP software solutions for the metal industry, Lantek has announced its global strategic partnership with Air Liquide Welding, through the company’s distribution channels, which cover 90 countries in different parts of the world.

“The alliance fits in well with the objectives set by both companies to create long-term technical associations and win-win strategic alliances. Lantek has an extensive distribution network that reaches customers in more than 100 countries.  It also has its own offices in 15 countries, which is why it fits in well with Air Liquide Welding’s distribution network”, mentions Francisco Perez, OEM Channel Director at Lantek. “This will enable us to provide the best sales and  training solutions, regardless of where the customer is located. The importance of this agreement also lies in its global reach, thanks to our partner’s influence and prestige throughout the world”.

Air Liquide Welding provides a wide range of automatic oxy-cutting and plasma machines, mainly including OPTITOME 2, ALPHATOME 2, OXYTOME and PLASMATOME. All of them operate with HPC DIGITAL PROCESS, a high-level CNC control that is able to automatically manage the OXYHPi cutting system process, HERTAJET HPi or the NERTAJET BEVEL HPI plasma bevelling unit. The latest innovations in plasma cutting applied to NERTAJET HPi have resulted in an increase in cutting quality and of productivity, while maximising the duration of consumables.

Philippe Blondeau, from Air Liquide Welding, indicates: “88% of Lantek’s turnover comes from the international market. Likewise, it invests heavily in research and development, which is why they stand out as leaders in the CAD/CAM sheet metal field. Their software is adapted to the characteristics of each one of our machines, enabling users to make the best possible use of the material and optimal cutting performance. It not only improves the offer we present to our customers, but it also guarantees they will get the best return on their investment. Furthermore, the level of competence in the Lantek distribution network will provide the necessary training and assistance to offer top quality support anywhere in the world”.

Since it was created in 1986, Lantek Expert has been Lantek’s star product and today 16,000 customers use it all over the world. The continuous development of the software has allowed Lantek Expert to maintain its leading position on the market. In 2015, the firm has incorporated new features into its solution, which include extremely precise time calculation algorithms and enhancements to facilitate use and CAD interoperability. On establishing a long-term relationship, both Air Liquide Welding and Lantek will be able to build a mutually beneficial business at an international level, based on service and performance for customers.
