23 December, 2014

IBERMACH Special Machinery S.L., one of the 5 companies of ERLO Group, just finished making two hydraulic presses for Gestamp Group. Both presses were sent on November to Brazil to be installed in Brazil Iraeta plant. Its function is to straighten forged flanges up to 7 meters in diameter which are then machined. With its 1,000 tons capacity each, allows straighten thick flanges up to 300 mm.

The Vertical press exerts pressure to improve the flatness of the giant flange. The Horizontal Press exerts pressure to improve circularity of the giant flange. All this in an almost handcrafted by Gestamp operators.

The first vertical press of this type, manufactured in 2007, bore the mark of LIZUAN.

The ERLO Group is made up of ERLO Taladros y Roscadoras, which manufactures ERLO drills, ERLO Mecanizados, which engages in outsourcing machining work and performing sub-assemblies for third parties, IBARMIA UNIVERSAL, which manufactures IBARMIA drills, IRSAT Taladros, which offers technical support services and spare parts for all brands of the Erlo Group and IBERMACH Special Machinery, which manufactures self-contained machining units, special machines and high production threading and drilling transfer machines, fixed bed and moving column drilling and threading centres, machining centres for large pieces and hydraulic presses from four to 1,000 tons .

In 2014, the ERLO Group has consolidated its position in the market, manufacturing and selling several high-tonnage hydraulic presses (like the ones that are now leaving for Brazil) and drilling and threading transfer machines (one of them sent to Mexico and another two in portfolio, all three for the same customer).

The ERLO Group faces 2015 with renewed energies and with several projects that guarantee work until the second quarter of the year. They are also making progress with the negotiation of three large operations with good prospects of materialising in 2015, according to the Commercial Director of the Erlo Group, Aitor Salaberria.
