ADDIMAT, the Additive and 3D Manufacturing Technologies Association of Spain was created in Sebastian on 17th December to group together enterprises related to the manufacture and marketing of equipment and materials for additive manufacturing and 3D printing.

ADDIMAT has emerged as a spin-off of AFM, dean of industrial associations, in response to the specific demand to provide a specific context for 3D and additive manufacturing in the world of manufacturing. Fagor Automation, Goratu, Danobat Group, Kondia, Tumaker, Ibarmia, Nicolás Correa, Ona Electroerosión, Egile Group, Zayer the IK4 and Tecnalia technology centres, the University of the Basque Country, IMH-Machine-tool Institute, the innovation centre TKNIKA and the Bilbao Exhibition Centre are just some of its founding members, together with AFM. Any company related to 3D and additive manufacturing technologies can request membership of ADDIMAT.

ADDIMAT purports to group together all stakeholders interested in developing and promoting 3D and additive manufacturing. With the mission of representing additive manufacturing and favouring its development, by promoting inter-entrepreneurial cooperation and providing its members with professional services, ADDIMAT will provide a forum to construct a coherent and differentiated image of the industry of 3D and additive manufacturing, giving voice to the enterprises.

AFM’s team of professionals provide the support to manage ADDIMAT, which covers the areas of internationalisation, technology, communication and people, and its headquarters are located at its facilities at the Technology and Science Park of Guipuzcoa.

AFM, Advanced Manufacturing Technologies, is the Spanish Association of Manufacturers of Machine-tools, Accessories, Component Parts and Tools, and it groups together 90% of the Spanish companies of the advanced manufacturing technologies and machine-tool sector.
