The latest developments in production solutions will be presented at a fair that sets out to revolutionise sector demand.
Koldo Arandia: “We are very much looking forward to the 26th BIEMH, and despite the current difficulties we will once again be showcasing the very best of our sector to help the industry increase its production and competitiveness”.
Spanish machine tool manufacturers are confidently placing their stakes in the trade fair for another year, with 52 national firms occupying almost 25% of the exhibition space at the 26th BIEMH.
This has been a difficult year for the sector, but it believes that the gradual although as yet insufficient recovery of demand will be given another boost at the Bilbao event.
Koldo Arandia, AFM’s President: “We will be presenting a wide range of solutions and we have worked hard to notify the machine tool user sectors so they will attend the Biennial. From the response we have received I personally think it’s going to be an interesting fair as regards number of customers.”
With 4 pavilions occupied, 475 companies exhibiting and over 1075 brands on show, the BIEMH is set to be Spain’s biggest industrial event for yet another year. Over 45,000 visitors have pre-registered to attend, a figure indicating an excellent turnout. AFM and BEC have organised international trade missions for customers from the major sectors and from several countries, and this will allow 350 foreign companies with interesting acquisition programmes to come to Spain.
“As far as we’re concerned the work has been done, now we just have to urge the customers to come and see what’s on offer. And they’re sure to find what they’re looking for,” Koldo Arandia says.
The 26th BIEMH opens on Monday, May 31, and the event is also expected to attract a good number of representatives from the national, regional and local governments.
