Machine tool manufacturer Nicolás Correa has recently announced the securing of several contracts for the manufacture, supply and start-up of a total of 10 machines, to be installed at various companies in China, India and Germany.

In China, Nicolás Correa has won a contract for the delivery of an “Anayak” HVM-500-MG machine with a travelling column and travelling rotary table, to be set up in Chungking. The machine will be supplied together with another model FPV-145 gantry type “Correa” unit with a 14.5 x 3 m table. The joint amount for the two machines comes to over a million euros.

Nicolás Correa’s major presence on the Indian market has been confirmed by a contract secured on this market with the local group Inspire, for the supply of four “Correa” gantry machines for a total amount of 2.5 million euros. The Indian branch of the German group SMS has also ordered two machines - a Pantera and an FP-35 - for 2 million euros, which are added to an order for an “Anayak” VHP-MG type machine for over 600,000 euros.

In Europe, "where the market remains slow, although it is beginning to pick up slightly”, the Nicolás Correa group has confirmed a new order from the German firm Salzgitter for a gantry type Versa-MW-120 machine, with X, Y, Z axis gantry configuration. The order amounts to almost 2 million euros.

Lastly, recent deliveries by the Nicolás Correa Group include an order from the UK firm AIM Engineering, an aeronautics sub-contractor and Formula 1 supplier, which commissioned an FP-50 gantry milling machine.

Nicolás Correa has also announced the opening of its second representative office in China, to follow on from its Shenzhen office, opened in 2003. The Shanghai staff includes applications engineering professionals and technical assistance and sales staff. In 2006, Nicolás Correa opened a 20,000 sqm production plant at the Kunming Technology Park. All of this has helped consolidate their presence in a country that has become the world’s largest machine tool importer and in which they have supplied and started up over a hundred milling solutions.
