Ideko-IK4 celebrated its 25th anniversary

The Prime Minister of the Basque Government Patxi López presided over the ceremony attended by a significant representation of the current political, economic and business world of the Basque Country.
Last 14th December, the technology centre Ideko-ik4 celebrated its 25th anniversary. To name a few that attended: Bernabé Unda (Regional Minister for Industry), Jon Goikolea (Vice-Minister for Industry), Arantxa Tapia (Congress Deputy), Jon Uriguen Ansola (Deputy for Innovation), Alfredo Etxeberria (Mayor of Elgoibar), José María Aldekoa (President of MCC), Jesús Mª Astigarraga (president of the Danobat Group), Rafael Barrenechea (President of Ideko-ik4), Ramón Uribe-Echeberria (Managing Director of Ideko-ik4)...
Following a talk by Mr. Emilio Duró on "Management of hope in times of change" which was a great boost for the whole audience, Mr. Don Ramon Uribe Echeberría, Managing Director of Ideko-ik4, started the official ceremony during which he looked back on the last 25 years.
Then Mr. Rafael Barrenechea, President of Ideko-ik4 summed up some of the most important milestones in the history of Ideko-ik4 and also presented some new challenges for the future.
José María Aldekoa, President of MCC, in turn pointed out the importance of Ideko-ik4 in the development of innovation at international level.
The Basque Prime Minister Patxi López ended the ceremony congratulating the centre and stressing the importance of companies like Ideko-ik4, committed to the Basque company and furthering its R&D to aid in the development and growth of Basque industry.
To finalise, also noteworthy was the presence in the event of the Chinese railway company Febrero7, whose managing director Mr. Zhang Jianzhong thanked Ideko-IK4 for its support in the technological development of companies in the machine tool sector and highlighted the role of Ideko-IK4 as a key factor for setting a standard in international competitiveness of this sector.
