Welcome to San Sebastian!

The Spring General Assembly of CECIMO is the main meeting of those held worldwide relating to the Machine Tool industry. It is held annually and brings together executives from the main industrial companies in Europe.

CECIMO, the European Committee for the cooperation of the Machine Tool sector, is the ideal platform for identifying and promoting strategic initiatives to improve the global competitiveness and leadership of the European machine tool industry.

The General Assembly of CECIMO meets twice a year, in spring and in autumn, in order to identify the strategic issues relating to the industry, and the Spring General Assembly is the main meeting of the year. This meeting complements the work programme, which addresses the most topical issues of concern to the industry in Europe, with a social programme to help strengthen the links between the members of the various delegations.

The next Spring Assembly is being organised by AFM, which has chosen San Sebastián as the venue. Over the course of the 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th June, the capital of Guipúzcoa will be welcoming over 60 people, including the Chief Executives of the Associations, Delegates from the various countries and CECIMO staff members. The group will consist of business executives of the highest level, coming from some of the most influential industrial corporations and companies in the European economy.

The headquarters of the associations tend to be situated in the capitals of the various countries, and the meetings are therefore held in these capitals. The previous spring meetings have been held in Stockholm (2008), Helsinki (2007), Istanbul (2006) and the autumn meetings in Paris (2008), Brussels (2007) and Zurich (2006).
