Founded in 1946, the Spanish Machine Tools Manufacturing Association (AFM) has a membership of almost one hundred companies that account for around 92% of the sector’s total production in Spain These companies are mostly grouped into the same geographical area, being surrounded by an extremely powerful and well-equipped auxiliary industry, and a robust network of technology centres, thereby generating a veritable focal point for competition.

AFM’s work centres on encouraging competition, defending its members' interests and fostering growth in the sector. Through its broad range of services, it helps to reinforce the international deployment of its members and further develop their ongoing commitment to technological innovation.

Through its member companies, AFM provides access to the most varied, yet in turn the most specialised, offer. All this bears the guarantee of an association with over 60 years’ experience, and which from the very first has catered for the foremost manufacturers of Machine Tools.
