AFM is aware that, in an environment undergoing ceaseless change, subject to constant evolution and technological innovation, the education and qualification of staff is a factor of strategic importance for our sector. To meet this need, AFM, along with member companies and different institutions, promoted the creation of a Technical Training Centre specifically for the machine tool sector.
This reality, considered on an international scale as a model for its endowment in human and material resources, is the Machine Tool Institute (IMH) whose President is AFM. This is the main instrument or support for carrying out comprehensive training and qualification of companies and staff in the machine tool sector.
The IMH, whose president is AFM, is involved in comprehensive technical and professional training for companies from the machine tool sector.
Some of the training work done by the Machine Tool Institute can be summed up as follows:
- Formación Profesional Inicial, orientada al sector de máquinas-herramienta.
- Ingeniería en Alternacia IMH-Empresas.
The aim of this scheme is to train the company technical engineer, to be able to assume responsibilities when his or her studies are over, to fit in and invigorate the industrial process through human and technical factors, fostering the objectives and values which make up business culture.
- Continuous Professional Training:
- Training of Active Professionals.
- Vocational Training.
- Self-teaching in Production Programme (AEP).
- Specific research and development of Training.
